This jumpsuit has been in my wardrobe for a few years now, but I'm not sure why doesn't get out too often. For a coolish summer day I paired it with a mint boucle jacket from Topshop. I'm a fan of the contrasting elements i.e. the formal boucle fabric against biker zip details (although the zip on the front causes the left sleeve to pill, which is frustrating). The pastel grey wedges and oversized bag break up the long black column, while the cheap and cheerful heart shape glasses add a bit of fun to the look x

Although they were rather difficult to get hold of, the Glen wedge in grey suede are probably the simplest JCs I own. When I ordered them about 2 years ago I got them in my usual size but when they arrived I couldn't even fit my foot in, so sadly had to let them go. After several months of anxious waiting, and deciding I couldn't live without them, they were finally restocked on Revolve, so I sized up one and a half sizes! They are a little big, but fit fine and comfortable with an insole. These are the only JCs I've had a major issue with sizing, and although I don't wear them as much as I used to, they're a great staple shoe and I'm glad I did get hold of them x

The JCs for today are the Lita in distressed black leather. These were my first pair of Litas, and I believe second pair of JCs. I know almost every blogger (and their dog) has a pair of Litas so I'm not the first to vouch for how comfortable and easy to walk in they are, but it is true. Although I do love the distressed finish,  I often wish I'd opted for the plain black leather as sometimes when paired with opaques they can look a little odd. Having said that, they are a very versatile shoe and I suppose the distressed look is still very on trend to grunge up an outfit x

Blazer See by Chloe/ Disco Pants American Apparel/ Shirt ASOS/ Shoes  Jeffrey Campbell Lita/ Glasses Missoni/ Lips Innocent by Topshop.

This cropped shirt from ASOS is definitely one of my favourite recent purchases as here I am wearing it again. This time I paired it with disco pants and a longline blazer for just a peek of midriff, adding an unexpected element to the look. As the outfit is predominantly black I livened it up with my cosmic Litas, which are the JCs I'm loving the most at the moment. I think the print and colour combination is literally 'out of this world.' To finish off, I matched my glasses and lips to the pale pink x

Although I often regret impulse buys, the Swansong are a purchase I certainly do not. I nabbed them on final sale at Andrea Biani over a year ago and they're actually one of the few pairs of JCs I have bought in a physical store (which was good as I found they run a full size small). For me the Swansong are really versatile, as the sandal style is great for summer but can also easily be worn in winter with opaques due to the dark floral pattern. I'm a fan of the subtle floral pattern as it often goes unnoticed on first glance. Needless to say, despite the height they're comfortable and easy to walk in x

Today's JC are the What in blue nubuck. Besides the colour, the thing that attracted me to this style was the unusual shape and creased detailing at the toe (which is also practical as it avoids the natural crease that can occur in that area). Another aspect I enjoy are the velcro side closures which make them really easy to take on and off. Needless to say, despite the height they're super comfortable and easy to walk in x

How rad are these pants! I was absolutely thrilled when they arrived, and think they are probably the craziest coolest item in my wardrobe. I spotted them months ago on Topshop, as part of the Louise Gray collection, but it wasn't until they hit the sale I was able to justify the purchase. After 'umming' and 'aahhhing' over them for a few days, I decided to bite the bullet and order them. They're such an amazing statement piece as not only are they fully sequined but also adorned with numerous coloured smiling faces. Yes, many people probably think these are hideous but that doesn't bother me and who can help but smile back at them? x

I picked up the Darian wedge not too long ago as the discounted price was too good to refuse. They were never a style I was particularly lusting after, but when I saw them in person they instantly grew on me as they're very unusual. I particularly love the woven detail on the front part of the shoe and the fact they're sort of like a mullet...business in the front and a party in the back. When they're on the front sort of looks like a pair of loafers so when you turn to the side or back the unexpected cutout straps are a surprise. As with all JCs they're comfortable and easy to walk in. You can see them in an outfit post here x

Today's JCs are the Polly, which I own in grey leather. They're a great staple shoe as they are a rather simple wedge style, comfortable height for all day wear and the mid-grey colour coordinates with my wardrobe very easily. Although I like the brogue detailing and a peep toe, they are rather roomy around the ankle with means I often stick to wearing them with trousers. I haven't worn them in a while so after 'rediscovering' them in this post I think I will x

I made this pleather skirt a few months ago after spotting the fabric and wondering what I could make with it. I'm really pleased with the result as the asymmetrical, wrap-style and punched texture is a bit different to the skater or pencil styles that dominate the pleather skirt market. It's also one of the first garments I've made in a long time so was happy that it all came together nicely (although it is rather revealing to sit down in due to the one press-stud fastening). I also get some sense of personal gratification when I am able to realise and wear one of my own designs out. For this evening outfit I bookended my skirt with royal blue wearing a DIY studded collar shirt and my Jeffrey Campbell Nightwalks as the colour match is uncanny x

I wore the Cuffed last night which are one of my latest JC purchases I picked up pre-shoe spending ban. They're a style I've had my eye on for about a year, but back then thought I would own the grey or black suede. It seems as my JC collection has grown my shoe style has strayed to the more unconventional. As you can see I decided on the coral leather and am happy I did as they're such a unique colour and I prefer the leather finish to the suede. Also, I got them on sale from Eilatan, which is a site I haven't purchased from before. Although the shipping cost was rather extortionate, they arrived in less than a week and the fact the sale price was heavily reduced balanced out the total. Keep an eye out for the outfit post in the next few days x

I think the Bandit booties were my second pair of JCs, and are possibly my most comfortable. My favourite feature is the contrast panelling detail in shades of grey which adds interest for an element of understated quirk x

I've had the Foxy in nude for about a year now, and I'm excited it's finally warming up enough to wear them again. Being a sandal style they are definitely one of my 'girlier' JCs and the platform and chunky heel make them comfortable and easy to walk in. Originally I wanted the black suede but they were sold out in my size so opted for the nude. As my wardrobe is dominated by black, I do find them slightly harder to style but think the lighter colour is great for summer and has been a welcome addition to my collection x

I thought it fitting to begin this series with the pair that kicked of my obsession, the Mary Roks. I actually have two pairs of these as, as you can see, this pair is pretty well loved and battered. Although I no longer wear them due to their condition I still can't seem to say goodbye. I was so thrilled to pick up another pair on sale as the Mary Roks are still one of my favourite JC styles. I love the wedge-bootie style with cutout detailing, as they go with everything and are so comfortable to wear all day x

I'm currently on a shoe spending ban until the end of the year. Some don't believe I can do it, I'm not even sure I can, as I certainly am a shoe addict. I can't pinpoint exactly when my penchant for shoes began, but since my discovery and first pair of Jeffrey Campbells it has only sky rocketed. As my JC collection is now rather burgeoning, I thought I'd try something a little different on my blog and start 'JC shoe of the day' posts. Although I may not post a pair every day, it may be more like every 2-3, I'll work my way through my shoedrobe to create a sort of online archive which will hopefully sustain my shoe cravings until the ban is over. If you guessed that the mystery shoe box contained the Jeffrey Campbell Shadow Stud then you would be correct. They are so insane and remind me a bit of pufferfish when I have a birds eye view of them. Despite how lethal they may look, only the studs around the ankle are sharp and the ones on the inside are flat meaning you can walk without fear of them catching against the other shoe. Although many reviews have said they are really heavy to walk in to be honest I haven't really noticed and find them easier than the Nightwalk. I bet these shoes will gain a lot of attention, and are probably a great form of self defense, as all being said, I reckon they can still cause some serious damage x

It seems another pair of Jeffrey Campbells have snuck their way into my wardrobe. Yesterday I went shopping for a running singlet and instead came home with the Darian wedges. It was never a style I was particularly lusting after but when I saw them they definitely grew on me, and as they were on final clearance I couldn't seem to pass up the bargain. The shirt is also a recent sale purchase, I love the mirrored floral effect and how it matches the Nasty Gal necklace that arrived this morning, along with bonus earrings. I'm usually a complete stud girl, but thought I'd try the dangly ones for a change x
