the photo phobic

I've been rather slack keeping up with my latest nail pics as work is making them chip a lot quicker than usual. Here is what they look like today, OPI Houston We Have A Purple and DS Radiance topped with a couple of kooky eyes x

On my nails at the moment is OPI Formidably Orange from the Outrageous Neons collection. I bought the set of four neon minis and I must say I was super excited, but now am rather disappointed. Having never used OPI minis before I found it rather difficult to apply as the brush is really small and it was difficult to get enough polish on the brush to cover the nail. Also, although the picture doesn't quite do it justice, I was expecting the colour to be more neon. I followed the instructions of using one coat of white base and then two of the chosen colour, but think the result may have been better if I'd done two coats of white base, which I shall try next time. Even though I finished them off with OPI top coat, the next day there were already signs of chipping, which is unusual for an OPI product. Overall the colours are really fun and I will try the others in the set but unfortunately this application did not live up to my expectation x

This weeks nails are actually almost last weeks nails as they have lasted 7 days without one chip. They are OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls topped with Red Shatter x

This week's nails consist of OPI Fly from the Nicki Minaj collection topped a few dots and squiggles x

Essie Sew Psyched topped with alternating black and white spots x

This week's nail design is a diagonal array of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Done Out In Deco, A Grape Fit and Essie Mint Candy Apple x

On my nails this week is a spontaneous arrangement of OPI Russian Navy, My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Essie Vermillionaire. I'm quite pleased with the result considering I didn't have a plan in mind x

With my ever growing collection of nailpolishes, I can no longer choose just one colour. So here's a peek at this weeks manicure of mismatched nails x
