I'm a sucker for silver rings but something that really frustrates me is when they tarnish. Now I'm not only talking about cheap chain store brands, but I've also experienced it with those towards the higher end such as Marc by Marc Jacobs and Dior. This has led me to the resolution to only buy sterling silver rings, as no matter how much I may love the design (or designer), I really can't be doing with having to take my rings off every time I want to wash my hands. I've recently picked up a few sterling silver beauties from Etsy for incredibly reasonable prices, and although they may not carry the designer name, they are gorgeously handcrafted and will last the distance x

I picked up these printed jeans at the Glassons outlet at Dressmart the other week. I know they're not an original print as I remember seeing it all over the blogosphere during the European Summer, but I loved it then and still do now. I'm not usually a lover of green but combined in this cool tropical print I may have been converted. Although they are designed to be 7/8 length, they're more like ankle grazers on me, and think they'll look great paired with a crisp white tshirt and chunky silver necklace x

Hats Cotton On

Since I've had short hair I haven't worn many hats, but after bagging these bargains I think that is about to change. I picked them up on an unexpected trip to Cotton On at only $2 each! I saw the straw cap a while ago and loved it, but my friend thought rather differently. I'm glad I held off on the purchase as I nabbed it for less than the price of a chai latte. As for the floppy hats I was on the hunt for an oxblood one in winter but had no success. Although the season has changed, I think it could transition into summer and at the tiny price got the taupe also to coordinate with my Alexander Wang Rocco x

Although I've been a fan of NZ label Ruby for several years, it seems in the past few seasons they have really upped their ante to a point where I am now completely enamoured by their collections. Something I love about Ruby is the way their garments have an air of understated quirkiness, in particular by way of signature prints and unexpected detailing, which is an aesthetic I adore. Not only is there the Ruby collection but also the Liam line, which is described as Ruby's slightly more sophisticated older sister. With two such amazing labels under one roof, and a fantastic shopping experience, me walking into a Ruby store is a danger zone for my credit card so it's vital I spread my visits out. Above are some of the latest pieces I have picked up over the past few months. I'm sure you'll see them styled in outfits very soon x

My latest arrival is this gorgeous embellished top from ASOS. I first spotted it on Ellie Goulding on the homepage but couldn't find it online, yet after a few days persistently checking the new in section there it was. I love the contrast of the leather sleeves and delicate embellishment which makes it easy to dress up or down. I'm looking forward to pairing it with a white skirt and sandals for day, or disco pants a leather jacket and killer heels for night x

Wearing three new items today...blazer, trousers and boots. I'm so pleased with the blazer, the fabric and colour are stunning. I also own the matching trousers (suit addict) but decided to dress it down today with a pair of khaki trousers. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of khaki pants for a while so was thrilled when it came to an end on a unexpected trip to Glassons. Also new in are the Cheap Monday boots, for which I can now say are incredibly comfortable. Love them x

Reflect Sandal Topshop/ Layer Ankle Boots/ Cheap Monday. 

I arrived home today to find not one, but two, pairs of shoes awaiting me. The first pair I've been after since last season, so I was thrilled when Topshop restocked them. They'll be my perfect summer shoes and an alternative to the chunky wedges and platforms that dominate my shoedrobe. As for the boots, I really didn't need them, but as black ankle boots are my go to shoes I thought they'd be a justified acquisition. Although I'm a big fan of Cheap Monday, these are actually my first item from the label. I love the simplicity and modern detailing on both pairs. Yes, I'm a shoe addict x

Rings Etsy, Ruby.

This weeks nails continue with the lilac palette, this time with OPI Done Out In Deco, DS Radiance and China Glaze Recycle. Also pictured is a new above-the-knuckle ring I found on Etsy, I've been looking for one for a while and loved this one with the little heart as opposed to a plain band. It's also the perfect size to double as a pinky ring x 

These beauts are the latest addition to my JC collection. Although I've seen the Nightwalks many a time, I never really thought about owning a pair as they're certainly not the most 'practical' shoe. However...when I spotted these in the last pairs section, after they had just come up in conversation, in my size, and heavily discounted, it was meant to be. I was instantly drawn to the electric blue velvet fabric and once I tried them on realised just how easy they are to walk in. Jeffrey Campbell is a genius x

A bit of a casual look today, I chased the dark clouds home and only just managed to get these snaps before it started to pour with rain. The jeans are a new addition I nabbed in the ASOS sale, they're my first pair of boyfriend style jeans and I'm rather liking them. The tie dye/bleached denim also fits in with my current obsession for printed jeans, so overall they are a win/win. As for my shoes, they're perhaps my favourite pair of JC's at the moment. The leather sneaker style and hidden wedge mean they are super comfortable for everyday wear and I love the reactions of people when they see the lethal spikes on the back  x

The statement piece of this outfit is definitely my shoes! I spotted them on Urban Outfitters down to $80, and being a JC addict I couldn't resist. I'd had my eye on a pair of Tardys for a while but never imagined these would be the ones I'd go for as they're pretty crazy for my style, but paired with an all black outfit I love the unexpected twist they add. I'm a fan of the clashing elements between the hiking boot-style lacing, chunky heel and ultra-floral satin fabric, they're definitely attention seeking shoes x

I'm completely obsessed with Topshop's range of lipsticks. So far I have four different shades: brighton rock, hazard, beguiled and rumour has it. The creamy texture of each applies incredibly smoothly, and the colour lasts for hours without fading. I was also a little bored yesterday so I made a short video with them.
