Although I've been a fan of NZ label Ruby for several years, it seems in the past few seasons they have really upped their ante to a point where I am now completely enamoured by their collections. Something I love about Ruby is the way their garments have an air of understated quirkiness, in particular by way of signature prints and unexpected detailing, which is an aesthetic I adore. Not only is there the Ruby collection but also the Liam line, which is described as Ruby's slightly more sophisticated older sister. With two such amazing labels under one roof, and a fantastic shopping experience, me walking into a Ruby store is a danger zone for my credit card so it's vital I spread my visits out. Above are some of the latest pieces I have picked up over the past few months. I'm sure you'll see them styled in outfits very soon x

I felt like adding a little sparkle today so decided to wear my sequin cross shorts from Sheinside yet toned them down with a hand-me-down jumper and crisp white shirt. The shirt is a recent addition from ASOS, I think the scalloped detail on the collar is perfect as it adds a modern and unexpected twist to such a classic item. Although I used to have issues mixing gold and silver hardware, after finding this bag in Milan last year I decided to embrace it x

This was Friday night's outfit for a French themed rendezvous/wine and cheese night. When deciding what to wear I was surprised at the amount of Eiffel Tower themed things I own, but this top and quirky glasses came out on top. Ironically both are from England.  It was also the first outing for my Nightwalks, although I only got to wear them from the car to the door I thought they added the perfect touch to the red, white and blue theme x 

 
 


I'm currently coveting the nine lives collection by Twenty-seven Names. Now I am by no means a cat lover, but the cartoon-style cat cameo print has got me whipped. Twenty-seven Names are known for  their impeccable print combinations and this Spring/Summer is no exception. I can't wait to get my paws on the 'low relief' navy/mustard contrast shirt, 'LOL cats' scalloped edge blazer and matching 'cameo' culottes...all in the cat cameo print, that is if my wallet would allow, I think the socks are also obligatory x

It's safe to say that I have fully embraced the printed pants trend, particularly in the denim category. Printed jeans are quickly becoming a fashion obsession of mine, and I can only imagine it's going to get worse as summer approaches. As you can see most of my collection is from Glassons, who are fueling my addiction with a plethora of new prints every week, that I 'need' to add to my collection. Throughout the winter I've been pairing the darker coloured ones with sheer shirts, jumpers and coats, but as it warms up am looking forward to wearing the brighter ones with a simple white tee and chunky necklace. Keep your eyes out for them outfit posts to come, they're not hard to miss x

Today was the first outing for my new coat which I picked up in the Country Road sale, I love the oversized blazer style and slouchy boyfriend silhouette it creates when paired with an oversized tee, cuffed trousers and abstract creepers. The jeans I'm wearing were one of my first year projects at fashion school. As for the sunglasses, they were a steal from the Asos sale a few weeks ago, I really didn't need another pair, but with 70% off, I couldn't resist. You can never have too much Wang....innuendo x 

I got these collar tips from Asos a few weeks ago, but hadn't worn them until yesterday. I'm not sure why, because I absolutely love them. They're such a genius idea and can instantly transform an old shirt to something Balenciaga-esque x

I am currently obsessed with Rodarte's video campaign showcasing their Spring 2011 collection. The short film, 'The Curve of Forgotten Things', is a collaboration between the Mulleavy sisters and Todd Cole, starring muse Elle Fanning.  I adore the distinct 70's vibe, and mesmerising soundtrack by Deerhunter, not to mention the gorgeous outfits and styling which change magically as Elle drifts from room to room in the abandoned house...it's perfection x

I've always been a tad obsessed with collars, even more so since Miu Miu's Spring 2010 collection, and few weeks ago I found this beauty on Topshop.  I love the cute peterpan style paired with the intricate beading, and it really is the perfect accessory of the moment. A welcome alternative to a necklace, this collar can be worn with anything from a t-shirt, to an LBD for a touch of aristocratic class. Now that I have a lot of spare time on my hands (thanks earthquake) I've been inspired to create some collars of my own. Look out for a DIY post in the next few days x
